Overview:
The Health and Safety Directorate provides Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) with competent health & safety and fire safety advice, training and support.
The Senior Fire Safety Adviser role will be a professionally qualified role of the Fire Safety team, reporting to the Fire Safety Manager and will work with him to support QMUL to comply with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and any relevant successor fire legislation.
Suitable applicants should have recent experience dealing with fire safety, including experience of carrying out fire risk assessments and compiling fire safety compliance reports in organisation’s of similar size and complexity to QMUL.
This post is full time and permanent. Starting salary will be in the range of £38,084 - £44,807 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
