Overview:

The Teaching Spaces Support Team provides second line support to all of the teaching spaces across the London Campuses within Queen Mary University of London. The team within the University plays a critical part in supporting academics enabling them to deliver high quality teaching to the Student body.

The post holder will be part of the Teaching Spaces Support Team and will primarily assist with the coordination of our extensive daily teaching room checks. Working closely with the Teaching Spaces Team Lead the post holder will coordinate the teams performing the daily checks, confirming that all issues have been reported, liaising with the relevant internal teams and escalating urgent issues. They will also be required to keep accurate records, assist with the processing of timesheets and the creation of reports. A critical aspect of the role is excellent communication skills, as the post holder is required to respond to issues working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The post holder will need to be highly numerate, confident with data, and computer literate.

The post is a fixed contract of 12 months with an expected start date of September 2019. This role requires flexibility regarding early start time in the term time. Starting salary will be in the range £27,742 to £30,798 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
