About the position

The Executive Director is responsible for the leadership and management of the Research Office and provides substantial contribution to strategic research leadership for the University.  In collaboration with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Industry Engagement), you will determine and implement University-wide research strategy and drive major strategic change.  You will drive continuous improvement of services, processes and practices whilst managing and directing all aspects of planning, strategy, policy and accountability of the Research Office functions.

About the candidate

To be considered for this position, you will have a track record in research with significant experience in a research management environment, including research and big-bid development.  You will have demonstrated experience in fostering relationships, innovation and adapting to change, together with high level experience developing and implementing major policy objectives and strategic plans.  Demonstrated experience of leading and managing a large office composed of several teams, whilst driving a strong commitment to actions and taking responsibility for outcomes, and developing the capacity of individuals within the teams.
