The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit an IT & AV support technician to join our Learning and Technical Resources team. Based primarily in the Media Factory stores, the role holder will provide support for students and staff in a range of audio, visual and musical equipment.
The role also requires the undertaking of safety checks, equipment inventory checks and updates, as well as providing advice, demonstrations or inductions as required. The successful candidate will be naturally inquisitive and will possess a range of relevant skills and experience, which they will be enthusiastic to apply in a variety of different situations. Experience of IT AV technical support in a customer facing role is therefore essential. They will also possess the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative to set priorities and to work co-operatively within a diverse team.
The ability to adapt knowledge and experience to support staff and students across the wide range of subject disciplines we support would be an advantage.
Applicants must also have a good quality of verbal and written communication skills. The successful applicant will have GCSEs or equivalent secondary qualification.
