Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Sport and Health Sciences, for a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology. The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate modules with the area of sport and exercise psychology. The School is home to a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and CPD opportunities both taught on-campus and by distance learning and we are proud of our commitment to delivering courses and CPD opportunities with a strong research, industry, and practitioner-inspired teaching philosophy.
Experience of teaching Sport and Exercise Psychology in HE, of developing teaching and learning resources and of developing practitioner skills in this area is essential. A first degree in Sport Science, Psychology or a related discipline is essential with expertise in sport and exercise psychology. A PhD or a MSc qualification and evidence of being capable of doctoral level study is also essential. A teaching qualification or the capability and willingness to achieve this qualification within a defined timescale are essential. HCPC Registration as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist is also desirable. With a flexible and innovative approach to teaching, the successful applicant will have excellent presentation and communication skills supported by the ability to teach up to postgraduate level.
