Job description

We are looking to appoint a Research Associate to help deliver a programme of implementation research prioritised by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARC NWC).

The successful applicant will have experience of research in health care settings demonstrated by a record of involvement in research management and related activities on a number of research- and evaluation-based projects. They will also have a record of academic peer reviewed publications and/or research reports, along with experience of utilising qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

Educated to first degree level in a relevant area and Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant area, the post holder will be able to evidence their excellent organisation skills with the proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines within the framework of an agreed programme.

Good communication and IT skills, and the ability to contribute to publications and reports through good academic research writing skills are essential to the role.

The successful applicant will be flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated to work alone and carry out a range of research tasks autonomously, and also work as part of a team.
