This is a key role in the University’s high-performing Marketing & Student Recruitment Department. The post holder will act as the liaison between the Marketing & Student Recruitment Department and internal clients in schools and departments to plan, create and oversee the production of engaging and effective content which promotes the University’s strengths in all areas.
You will have proven experience in developing and managing innovative marketing and communication plans, will have provided specialist advice and guidance with respect to communication approaches, especially at a senior level or to those with non-marketing backgrounds. You will have a track record of effectively project-managing internal and external resources, including writing clear and effective briefs and monitoring progress to deliver on budget and on time. You will demonstrate experience of using research, analytics and evaluation of marketing activities to inform and support creative concepts and decision-making.
It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and communication, both oral and written. You will have the demonstrable ability to write, edit and proof compelling content. Excellent IT and digital marketing skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and new media communications tools (such as blogs, podcasts, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) are essential.
Our ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, a creative thinker with proven ability to create compelling content and devise innovative marketing activities targeted at specific audiences. You will be a natural collaborator, resilient with a focused approach.
