    • Senior Postdoctoral Fellow $116,650 to $138,526 pa (including salary of $98,571 to $117,057 plus 17% superannuation and 12.96% leave loading)
    • Research Fellow $142,901 to $164,328 pa (including salary of $120,754 to $138,860 plus 17% superannuation and 12.96% leave loading)

The Coastal and Marine Ecosystems Research Centre (CMERC) facilitates collaborative research projects focussed on delivering practical outcomes to maintain and enhance marine and coastal biodiversity, function and heritage, ranging from catchments to the outer Great Barrier Reef. Physically located in the Port of Gladstone and within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area, CMERC is ideally placed to deliver research with global impact.

Position Requirements:

  • Doctoral qualification in a relevant science field, paired with a strong research track record.
  • Sound knowledge of the ecosystem approach and sustainable development practices.
  • Demonstrated track record of working with government, industry, environmental managers or engineers.
  • Demonstrated evidence of other science communication activities (presentations at national and international conferences, public media etc).
