  • Opportunity to support and provide high level trial knowledge to the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics Clinical Research team.
  • Located at the Brain and Mind Centre, Camperdown,
  • Full-time, 2 year fixed term contract. Base salary: $86k-$102k p.a. (HEO 6/7), plus annual leave loading and a generous employer’s contribution to superannuation.  

About the opportunity 

The successful candidate with be expected to provide high level clinical trial knowledge and expertise to the Chief Investigator, Senior Research Academics and the research team to support the clinical trial requirements within the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics Clinical Research team. Clinical trial activities includes working on pretrial procedures including development of trial proposals/protocols and experimental designs, setting up and organising of clinical trial sites (with some supervision), organising investigational product supply, data analysis of clinical trial data, management of research samples from studies, archiving documents and correspondence. As a Clinical Trial Associate, you will assist with selecting investigators, coordinating ethics committee and regulatory authority applications, supervising trial supplies and organising / attending investigator meetings. You will also be required to conduct patient visits for relevant studies with appropriate clinical supervision. This role will be focused on an experimental study of healthy subjects, relevant to cannabinoid therapeutic research.

  • Project specific related skills, including experience in supporting and conducting clinical trials and clinical studies from start up within an academic, CRO or industry/pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience working within clinical trials involving Investigational drug products
  • Experience in controlling income/expenditure for reconciliation/budget tracking, and managing invoice payments and purchases
  • Have expertise in using and creating research protocols, experimental design, human ethics submissions and grant applications. Including sound knowledge of ICH GCP
  • Knowledge and experience in venepuncture and storage/handling of human biological samples, as well as analysis of EEG
  • Management, development and support of junior Clinical team members (appropriate for Level HEO 7)
  • Development, design and leadership of new clinical trial projects (appropriate for Level HEO 7)
