TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT ASSOCIATE,
Sloan School of Management-Technology Services (STS)-Service Desk, to be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost effective support for technologies used by members of the Sloan community to further their academic, research, and business objectives. Will accomplish this through two main channels daily support operations, including proactive management of incoming support inquires through telephone, email, and walk-in support; and project work, participating in STS or Sloan-wide initiatives to challenge IT issues facing customers. Will also be exposed to endpoint management, assisting senior staff with testing and deploying images to devices in the Sloan community; help maintain a growing inventory of STS-supported equipment, working to manage and track assets throughout their lifecycle; and maintain a welcoming and present walk-in service, assisting faculty, staff, and students with short technology questions in a “genius bar” type atmosphere.
A high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years’ relevant work experience in information technology and/or customer service; technical diagnostic skills; excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills; and the ability to convey technical information in non-technical terms, multitask, prioritize, and ensure the accuracy of work. Seek a detail- and customer service-oriented individual who is able to balance operational needs with short-term project work. Experience working with faculty and students at a research university preferred, as is experience working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. Job #18005-5
