This is a great opportunity to join Professor Cherie Armour as a Research Fellow on full time Fixed Term Contract with a funding end date of 31 July 2020.  As such the PI is keen for the successful candidate to take up post as soon as practical.  In this position you will undertake research in the area of veterans' health and well-being and work alongside 2 other postdoctoral resarchers in analysisng data from the veterans psychological wellbeing survey; resulting in the creation of peer reviewed publications. This is therefore an excellent opportunity for a researcher to lead on and co-author several peer reviwed publications, enhancing their publication record.

The School of Psychology holds a Gold Athena SWAN award that recognises the work that it has done in supporting gender equality.  

The successful candidate must have: 

  • Degree (2:1 or above) in Psychology 
  • Have or be about to obtain a PhD in Psychology.
  • At least 3 years relevant research experience.
  • Evidence of a high level of quantitative analytical skills
  • Experience of conducting psychological research in populations exposed to trauma and/or experiencing mental ill health
  • Evidence of the production of a peer reviewed journal article(s)
  • Experience of using the statistical packages of SPSS & MPlus
  • Previous experience of presenting research at psychology / mental health conferences / meetings
