The Institute of Criminal Justice Studies is the largest criminology department in the UK with an established presence in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education, complemented by a successful applied criminology research profile. Within the subject area, the Institute is ranked 5th place nationally in the Guardian Course Guide and the University has been awarded Gold within the Teaching Excellence Framework.
Our highly successful innovative criminology course provision is being extended across its breadth at undergraduate and postgraduate areas due to significant growth in demand. We are seeking to recruit to a wide range of academic posts in a number of specific subject areas to join our vibrant School in November 2019 onwards.
