Overview:
Queen Mary University of London is looking to recruit a motivated and highly effective Planning Manager to take a lead role in supporting the university in developing planning processes to support the delivery of our 2030 strategy. Specifically the postholder will lead on risk management and undertake benchmarking activities.
Our Planning Managers are expected to be experts on the university’s strategy and enabling plans and to contribute to planning and decision making at all levels within the institution. This presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual, with excellent organisational and communication skills to help us drive forward our new strategy.
This challenging role offers the opportunity to work with colleagues throughout the university on a range of planning, risk and benchmarking related activities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is excited about where Queen Mary has come from and where we are aiming to get to in the next 10 years.
- Identifies as an expert in their area of work, with capabilities to manage their own work and to share knowledge with others within the office and institution.
- Has strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the university.
Candidates should have a degree, or equivalent work experience, experience of planning processes, and experience of risk management processes.
The position is a permanent post. Starting salary will be in the range £47,325 to £52,833 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
