Job description

Ranked top 15 in the Guardian for five years running, Coventry University is proud to be named as the University of the Year for Student Experience in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019. People are taking notice of us, so there's never been a better time to join.

Marketing and External Affairs are seeking a talented Marketing Manager for our arts and humanities subjects; developing, shaping and implementing an arts and humanities marketing strategy/plan and bringing our strengths in each subject specialism to the fore.

You would be working with specialists across media and events, leading on the articulation and communication of our strengths across a specific set of core subject areas, primarily for student recruitment. Occasionally we'll want you to also go beyond your subject area and be the project lead on specific university-wide projects which benefit broader marketing objectives.

While we are looking for individuals with a broad range of marketing skills, we are also looking for intelligent people who are keen to learn new things and who can inspire and coordinate others to make a positive impact in the market place. You don't necessarily need to have worked in Higher Education, but you do need a passion for it. You will need strong communication skills too, as you'll be dealing with marketers and academics who are crucial to telling our story.

Your day-to-day activity will sometimes be hectic, but you will be surrounded by individuals who are enthusiastic and proactive.

We also offer a great range of benefits, such as contributory pension schemes, a generous holiday allowance and access to a range of discounts and offers exclusively available to staff. All this and more makes Coventry University a great place to work.

If you feel you could help us to build upon our previous success, then please complete an application form. We'd love to hear from you!
