Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate in the laboratories of Dr Aleksandar Ivetic & Professor Ajay Shah.

The post-holder will investigate the inflammatory mechanisms underlying myocardial infarction and its long-term impact on heart failure by utilising genetically engineered disease models. A range of molecular, cell biological and imaging (including microscopy and MRI) techniques will be employed in the study. The successful candidate will determine the role of neutrophils under homeostasis and under conditions of stress. Previous in vivo cardiac or vascular experience, experience in biochemical assays and cell/molecular biological assays is highly desirable.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 3 years, or until 30 November 2022​. This is a full-time - 100% full time equivalent.
