The Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies, also known as Stanford Seed, is a Stanford GSB-led initiative that is working to end the cycle of global poverty by training business leaders in developing economies, inspiring Stanford students to become globally-engaged leaders, and supporting critical research from across the university to maximize our impact.  

The Global Operations Program Manager is a critical team member charged implementing and administering the vision, strategy, and goals of Stanford Seed and its global operations team.

The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating programming and operations at Seed’s global centers in Africa and India. The Program Manager will support the execution of the Seed Transformation Program and assist with Seed’s global expansion strategy, among other duties. The candidate should have strong project management skills and should help drive cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Support Global Operations with execution of the Seed Transformation Program, and administration of recruitment, admission and onboarding processes across Seed’s global centers
  • Manage logistics and participate in hiring global employees, including managing recruitment process, scheduling and conducting interviews, onboarding new employees, and more.
  • Assist with Seed’s global expansion strategy. Conduct due diligence and research for prospective new global sites, and assist with expansion efforts as needed.
  • Manage the administration of the Seed Transformation Network (network of business leaders who participated in the Seed Transformation Program). Support execution of Network benefits, including Seed intern program, consultant program, coach program, and more. Maintain and manage Network databases and membership records.
  • Support the planning and execution of Seed Global Operations events
  • Plan and support Global Operations meetings, and other administration tasks as needed.
  • May travel internationally to Seed’s global centers (Ghana, Kenya, India, etc.)
  • Will require extended hours, early mornings and evenings, especially for meetings with global staff
  • Be flexible to completing any other additional assigned duties.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and five or more years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree in relevant field preferred
  • Experience working in emerging economies, and/or working closely with global teams highly preferred
