About the Job
The University of South Australia’s School of Nursing and Midwifery is World Top 100 ranked, achieving an above world class rating in the 2018 Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) results. The school is situated in purpose-built teaching facilities incorporating fully equipped simulated nursing and midwifery environments and research areas.
Reporting directly to the Head of School: Nursing and Midwifery, the Senior Lecturer will make an outstanding contribution to the teaching, scholarship, research and professional activities of the School and in the delivery of high quality education to nurses and midwives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of courses within the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs and will be expected to make a strong contribution to high quality research and the supervision of higher degree research.
Skills and Experience
We are seeking to appoint a highly credible individual with a demonstrated track record of teaching and clinical expertise, knowledge and contribution to the discipline of Nursing. A PhD qualification in a health related discipline and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia is essential. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to enhance the research profile of the School through collaborative research.
Your experience developing a culture of teaching and learning excellence, research capability and well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills are sought to ensure a positive contribution as a part of the academic team.
