HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) REPRESENTATIVEComputer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), to support a broad range of HR services for a lab comprised of 1000 faculty, staff, postdocs, and students.  Will assist with both graduate and undergraduate appointments and orientation programs; support CSAIL HR team members in a wide variety of areas including, recruiting, on-boarding, recordkeeping, training, and HRIS maintenance; provide administrative support for the team including developing correspondence, coordinating meeting logistics, preparing reports, creating/maintaining employee files, scheduling interviews, conducting mailings, and fielding general HR inquiries; and work on department projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  three years’ administrative or related office experience, preferably in human resources; discretion and sound judgment with highly sensitive, confidential, and personal information; excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills; proven track record of following through on assignments; self-motivation; attention to detail and quality; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and navigating the internet; and knowledge of or ability to learn HR management systems.  Must be able to earn trust and credibility; collaborate effectively with a variety of people at all levels; take responsibility for own actions and keep team members and employees informed on the status of assignments; serve as a “go-to” HR resource for the team/faculty/students/visitors/employees; adapt to changing work conditions/assignments; prioritize competing work assignments and meet deadlines; work independently in a team-based environment. PREFERRED:  bachelor’s degree in business or human resources management; experience with HRIS, applicant tracking and performance management software; experience in a higher educational setting; ability to analyze and improve or create processes/procedures; and a strong interest in developing as a HR professional.  Job #17978-4
