This is an exciting opportunity for a talented qualitative researcher to support a qualitative study aiming to understand how adults with a diagnosis of autism perceive randomisation and recruitment to randomised controlled trials (APRiCoT study). The post will be based at the Centre for Academic Mental Health, Bristol Medical School and involve carrying out 1:1 interviews with approximately 30 adults with a diagnosis of autism.

You will have a strong background in qualitative research and have a higher degree in a related discipline. You will have experience of preparing and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of conducting qualitative research with adults with autism and/or within the field of mental health will be an advantage. The funding for this post is limited to between 6-8 months at 50% time working pattern depending upon the salary grade of the successful candidate.
