Overview

Edith Cowan University’s School of Science is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the field of Environmental Management. In particular, we welcome applications from candidates who have a proven ability to work collaboratively across sectors or disciplines and in particular with industry, government and NGOs.

The Role

The School is looking for someone who has a successful track record in teaching and research and with knowledge and experience in Environmental Management, including, but not limited to, environmental impact and risk assessment, environmental systems and auditing, project management methods and sustainability assessment and reporting.

The successful candidate will be expected to pursue independent research and supervise postgraduate students, deliver and develop teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate levels, and undertake leadership and administrative duties in teaching or other university activities commensurate with the level of the appointment.

Skills and Experience

You must have a PhD and experience in teaching and research. A strong research track record in Environmental Management as evidenced by publications and grants as well as experience in the supervision of postgraduate students is essential. A demonstrated understanding of the investigation, measurement and management of pollutants in the environment, and risk assessment processes is also required.

Benefits & Remuneration

This part-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of ALEVB $99,043 - $117,312 or ALEVC $120,961 - $139,228 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
