UNIVERSITY OFFICERSolve, to focus on institutional university relationships. Solve is an MIT initiative that advances lasting solutions from tech entrepreneurs to address the world's most pressing problems. Solve issues four Challenges each year to find the most promising Solver teams who will drive transformational change. Solve then deploys its global community of private, public, and nonprofit leaders to form the partnerships these Solver teams need to scale their impact. Will play a key role in deepening and expanding Solve’s engagement with the MIT community and other university members of Solve; support recruitment of and relations with exceptional leaders from academic programs whose expertise and interests align with Solve’s mission of tackling pressing global challenges through open innovation and partnerships; develop new partnerships with departments, labs, centers, and initiatives across MIT seeking to engage undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff in connection with Solve’s annual Challenges and broader work. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in an area relevant to Solve’s work; at least two years’ related experience, including at least one managing relationships and partnerships; working understanding of the MIT community; excellent organizational skills; and flexibility.  Must be able to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and anticipate needs in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.  PREFERRED:  experience in a social and/or environmental impact organization, experience in sales or nonprofit development, project management training or experience, and graduation from MIT.  Job #17961-7
