Would you like to work for an organisation steeped in history but focused on the future and recognised worldwide as an organisation of excellence?  An organisation that promotes a healthy work/life balance and recognises and rewards achievements?  If so, then Norland is the place for you.

We have recently been awarded the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) Gold standard for delivering consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for our students. In March 2019 we were also granted Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) by the Privy Council and now offer our own BA (Hons) Early Years Development and Learning degree alongside the prestigious Norland Diploma.

We are looking to appoint an early years specialist to become our Head of Learning, Teaching and Research.  Being part of a dynamic senior leadership team, the post holder will contribute towards the College strategy, to set annual KPIs for the Learning, Teaching and Research department as well as providing academic leadership to promote a culture of excellence and enhancement.  The post holder will oversee the learning and teaching on both the degree programme and the prestigious Norland Diploma as well as continuing to develop the research profile of Norland.  The post holder will be responsible for the retention and achievement of students and will manage the lecturing team to ensure a responsive and high quality service to all students.

This post comes with a significant remission in teaching hours to enable the post holder to focus on effective and supportive programme leadership and research.

You must have a background and specialism in the early years field and hold a relevant Master’s Degree, have a Doctorate or be willing to work towards one.  It is essential that you also hold appropriate teaching and professional qualifications and have extensive teaching experience.  Highly effective communication skills and leadership experience are also essential for the role as is a strong CPD record.
