Overview:

The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is an exciting and dynamic environment and is home to over 1100 undergraduate students, 370 postgraduate students, and 200 PhD students.

A vacancy has now arisen within the School’s Teaching Services Team to provide administrative support in relation to Postgraduate student activities on Degree Apprenticeships as part of the Institute of Coding (IoC).

The IoC is a consortium of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), large corporations, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), established industry groups, experts in the delivery of distance/non-traditional learning and professional bodies.  The IoC work to address digital skills gaps, and forge stronger links between industry and education providers.

This role will support the EECS Director of Postgraduate studies and will take direct and executive responsibility for all matters relating to the administration of taught postgraduates and level 7 Degree Apprenticeship students in the School, providing necessary support as required.

To apply, you should have an understanding of the employability issues faced by students and have a commitment to supporting individuals with their career development.  You are expected to be able to communicate with students and employers in a supportive, approachable and professional manner.  Experience of working in Higher Education, preferably in a student-facing role, would be an advantage.

The post is full time and permanent, and is available immediately.  Starting salary will be £34,220 - £40,194 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.   Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, pension scheme and an interest-free season ticket loan.
