MEDICAL ASSISTANTMIT Medical (multiple openings), to assist physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during and between office visits and for performing other tasks consistent with training and skills. Will act as the primary liaison contact between clinical staff and the patient; play an active role in preparing for the daily operations of patient visits and for implementing key activities; lead the twice-daily huddle sessions to ensure that all pertinent patient information is communicated between clinical staff and have all appropriate materials available so that care is delivered effectively and efficiently; and manage HealtheLife requests, ensure that patients comprehend medical treatment information provided by each provider, and use the best medium to follow up with each patient to ensure treatment plan compliance.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  graduation from of an accredited medical assistant program or medical assistant certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA); two years’ experience in a related physician’s office setting; excellent critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and diplomacy skills; ability to comply with established risk management and safety procedures and with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations; sound judgment; attention to accuracy and detail; ability to maintain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills; and ability to prioritize tasks in a complex and busy environment and see them through to completion.  National medical assistant certification preferred.  Job #17959-5
