Applications are invited for the role of Lecturer in the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service. 

The Centre for Primary Care and Public Health, part of the Blizard Institute, has established successful postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programmes in global health. 

This is a Teaching and Scholarship post, and we wish to appoint an excellent academic to contribute to its growing initiative in global health education and the delivery of a number of MSc degrees (including an intercalated BSc) and a three-year undergraduate BSc.

We are looking for an academic with a broad interest in global public health, but with some specific expertise and interest in the area of sexual and reproductive health, and with some experience of policy and programmatic evaluations. 

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant area, such as public health, social determinants of health, sociology, or social policy.

The post is a full time, permanent appointment with an expected start date of 06 January 2020. Starting salary will be in the range of £42,433 - £52,833 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
