About the Job

As a senior academic in the School and a subject matter expert in a health-related discipline, you will make a significant contribution to the research outcomes of the Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre. You will have the opportunity to lead the creation and implementation of a consumer centred healthcare laboratory within the Centre, by developing a phased five-year research program proposal that supports the Centre’s wider strategic plan.

You will also lead grant funding submissions and engage with partners and industry to foster future research opportunities, and present to national and local stakeholder groups on consumer centred research outcomes. You will also support and mentor your early-career colleagues, and supervise Honours and postgraduate research projects.

Skills and Experience

A doctoral qualification in a health-related discipline is essential, as is a working knowledge of and experience in a range of areas including health services, program evaluation, and population health and behavioural research. You will also demonstrate a track record of working with consumers and healthcare stakeholders to undertake research that focuses on positive outcomes for consumers and have the ability to present research findings in a way that is both meaningful and impactful.

You will be skilled in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods and have an established track record in producing academic publications, scientific and industry reports, and obtaining grant funding. Your high-level communication and negotiation skills, and ability to manage multiple projects priorities effectively, will ensure your success in this role.
