This post represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientist with a strong track record in a research field relevant to rural health either a developing or developed country context. We will consider applications from researchers with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests.
This post is part of a major strategic investment by the University of Lincoln in rural health and the successful post older will work closely with Global Professor of Rural Health and Care, Professor Mark Gussy. The University has a diverse portfolio of research including studies evaluating hospital-based and community-based interventions, service design and delivery, and health technologies and will expand and consolidate these strengths in the rural context. The University is associated with the UK National Centre for Rural Health and Care (NCRHC), an independent organisation also located in Lincoln. One of the key strategic focus areas is in the design, delivery and evaluation of Mhealth interventions aimed at improving the health status of populations in rural communities both in UK and abroad.
The post holder is expected to make a significant contribution towards establishing the centre as an international centre of excellence in rural health, evidenced through an expanded research portfolio, publications in high-quality journals, and demonstrated research impact.
