About the work area
The Western Australian Centre for Rural Health’s work covers a large and varied part of the state and the Centre enjoys excellent relationships with health care providers, communities and universities. The collegial, multidisciplinary team of academics and support staff implement a dynamic program addressing key rural, remote and Aboriginal health issues.
About the opportunity
Under the direction of the Associate Professor in Rural Health, you will be a valuable member of this team providing leadership in the development of Social Work related placements and the clinical supervision of these students in varied settings along with interprofessional support and education delivery across the wider WACRH program.
The role will include clinical supervision and evaluation of undergraduate, graduate entry, and postgraduate students as well as support for project based placements. You will collaborate with the WACRH team in Geraldton and Karratha with student placement administration. You will also liaise with stakeholders including local health service providers, community groups and relevant universities.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a recognised Social Work degree, eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Worker and have a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience.
A current National Police Clearance Certificate and Working with Children Check is required.
