$99,530- $118,115 (ALB) and 17% superannuation

We believe that investing in dedicated people and their ideas will make tomorrow better. With this in mind, the School of Design and the Built Environment is seeking teaching-focused academics in the areas of Digital Design or Animation & Game Design.

The roles of Lecturer in Digital Design or Animation & Game Design will contribute to the growth of our new majors, and encompass undergraduate teaching. Your enthusiasm and passion for Digital Design or Animation & Game Design will assist you to conduct activities that stimulate and foster student learning.

The successful applicant in the specific area of Digital Design will have industry and teaching experience in User Interface Design, User Experience Design, App Design and Web Design using front-end technologies. Applicants are expected to have worked with the latest frameworks, languages, tools and platforms to create highly interactive, dynamic, responsive and engaging digital user experiences. Additionally, core industry experience in full-stack modern web site application development is considered desirable. The successful applicant must hold at least a Bachelor-level qualification in this discipline area and demonstrate capabilities in high quality teaching and innovation in curriculum design, unit content development and coordination duties within the higher education environment. A track record of industry engagement with game, design or media partners is considered highly desirable.

The successful applicant in the specific area of Animation & Game Design will have industry and teaching experience in 3D Game Modelling, Texturing and Animation pipeline for interactive games as well as knowledge in game design. In addition to these, industry experience in related fields such as motion graphics and visual effects for broadcast are considered desirable. Applicants are expected to have worked on the latest production pipelines, tools and media platforms from console to mixed reality approaches that are best informed by direct experience. The successful applicant must hold at least a Bachelor-level qualification in this discipline area and demonstrate capabilities in high quality teaching and innovation in curriculum design, unit content development and coordination duties within the higher education environment. A track record of industry engagement with game, design or media partners is considered highly desirable.
