Role Description

Cranfield University is an international centre of excellence in research and postgraduate teaching in strategic areas of science, technology, engineering and management, directed by the needs of industry. We attract well over 4,000 masters and doctoral students each year from over 100 countries, as well as thousands more learners who attend our events and short courses for professional managers and executives.

Masterships are a suite of Master's level degree apprenticeships which form a significant and growing part of the taught educational opportunities offered by Cranfield University. Developed in response to the “Apprenticeship Levy” and an increasingly changing environment for postgraduate education this is a fast moving, responsive and dynamic area.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Administrator to join the Centre for Andragogy and Academic Skills (CAAS) in the Masterships Office.

The core responsibility of this role is to proactively support the Mastership Team, and the other members of the wider team who are based in Schools and Professional Service Units across the university as well as maintaining high quality contact with apprentices and employers.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an eye for detail and a ‘can do’ attitude towards establishing new and continually improving processes. You will have a passion for education, learning and helping learners achieve their potential via apprenticeships. You will champion the use of technology to underpin and evidence the apprentices learning and support the journey towards successful apprenticeship completion.

You will have sound knowledge of data protection regulations and be experienced in co-ordinating with key industrial partners. Experience of working within an Apprenticeship or Higher Education environment and have awareness of learner support needs would be advantageous. You will be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, while balancing competing priorities without comprising your attention to detail

At Cranfield, we value Diversity and Inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential. We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role.

For an informal discussion, please contact Peter Harrison, Head of Centre for Andragogy and Academic Skills, on +44 (0)1234 750111 Ext. 4097 or (E); p.harrison@cranfield.ac.uk
