Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry (Ref.: 498513), to commence as soon as possible on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.  Suitable candidate may be considered for appointment on the practice category.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Hong Kong Medical Council, with a postgraduate specialist qualification in Psychiatry or equivalent.  They should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, and a track record of high-quality impactful research as indicated by publication record and external grants. They should be competent to reinforce and advance the strengths of the Department in the broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education.

The appointee will organize and develop teaching programmes, undertake teaching duties, conduct courses at Master’s level, supervise postgraduate students, conduct research, and contribute to administrative duties in the Department and Faculty.  He/She will also provide psychiatric clinical services and patient care at the University’s teaching hospitals and in the community. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate.   Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
