Applications are invited for a Associate Professor / Professor of Sport Management post within School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

Applications are invited for a permanent appointment as Associate Professor / Professor of Sport Management in the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science. The person appointed will be expected to provide the academic vision, innovation, strategic leadership and management that will further develop a sustainable teaching, learning and research programme in Sport Management.

This is a dynamic and multi-disciplinary School. The post holder will enhance and expand undergraduate and graduate education, up to and including PhD level and will play a key role in the expansion of School blended and distance learning programme both nationally and internationally. S/he will lead and manage programme changes, expand PhD opportunities and identify and develop UCD and industry partners for teaching and research collaboration.

The successful applicant will have a distinguished international research record and a track record of securing research funding. The post holder will have relevant research and teaching interests and experience that will build upon the opportunities presented by the combination of subjects which comprise the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science and its associated research institutes. The role will involve the provision of research leadership including high quality scholarship and international publication, securing new research funding, and the supervision of research doctoral and students.

Applications from candidates across the spectrum of sport management would be welcome. For example, leadership, governance, marketing, strategy, human resources, event management, or finance.

95 Associate Professor Salary Scale: €68,663 - €95,916

95 Professor Salary Scale: €84,638 - €112,271

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
