Overview:
Queen Mary University of London is one of the UK’s leading research-focused universities and a member of the Russell Group with an outstanding reputation in the humanities and social sciences.
The School of Languages, Linguistics and Film is looking to appoint a member of the team to provide a professional and efficient service relating to all areas of exams and assessment administration within the School, in accordance with the University’s procedures and regulations. You will support the School’s Chairs of Exam Boards working closely with the Academic Registry and Council Secretariat (ARCS), partner Schools with joint degrees, the School’s Director of Graduate Studies working closely with the Research Degrees Office, and members of the School’s Teaching and Learning teams.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, and have substantial experience in exams and assessment and problem solving. As a skilled communicator, you will be able to liaise effectively with a range of customers and staff at all levels of the organisation. Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office and the ability to prioritise workload and work unsupervised, are also essential. You will also be expected to work flexibly when dealing with planning and change, and have a willingness to work extended hours when required.
The post is full time and permanent, available as soon as possible. Starting salary range will be £34,220 - £36,098 per annum. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, a pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
