The Global Internships Manager (China) is an exciting new role – enabled by an external donation - which will support the delivery and expansion of a new Global Internships Programme developed to support students with undertaking international work experience and is a key strategic aim supporting both our University Strategy as well as the Global Strategy.

Based within the Careers & Enterprise team, the post holder will also be required to work closely with the International Office, Development and Alumni Relations Office and across the Faculties to ensure a collaborative and strategic approach to the delivery of a global internship programme.

The role is specifically required to undertake targeted outreach and proactively engage with the students on the Chinese Studies and Liberal Arts course to develop a full pilot programme of in- China internships.

The post-holder will engage with individual alumni, employers and other internship providers to source a suite of internship opportunities and market these opportunities to undergraduate students across the university. They will communicate and build strong relationships across the university to support the delivery and development of the programme.

The post-holder must work in a motivated and proactive fashion to reach ambitious, but achievable targets for internship opportunities by immediately mobilising the alumni and professional networks in service of this programme. The ideal candidate will have existing networks and contacts in-region to draw upon.
