Centre for Artificial Intelligence (ICI-CAI)
The Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) is a newly established centre under the Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI). The Centre will focus on computational intelligence algorithms, visual and pattern recognition, intelligent analysis and prediction of data, machine translation, human language technology, natural language processing, human-machine communication, etc. The Centre will play a crucial role in developing Macao into a smart city at present and in the future. The long-term goal of the Centre is to promote the design, research and development and application of artificial intelligence technologies through evidence-based research, including smart healthcare, smart travel and gaming, business intelligence, etc. More details about the Institute of Collaborative Innovation are available from https://ici.um.edu.mo/.

The Centre invites applications for Associate/Assistant Professor in the following disciplines as a joint appointment with the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University:

Faculty of Science and Technology (FST)
FST aims to provide programmes for undergraduate and graduate education with quality reaching international standard. It strives to become a research active unit advancing the knowledge of engineering and science, and serves the community and industry as an agent of technological innovation and educational advancement. Currently, about 90 faculty members from diverse international backgrounds serve in this faculty. Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD degree in related areas with research focus in the said area. Applicants must also have demonstrated capabilities in multidisciplinary research in related fields. 

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2020 or earlier.

Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP800,800 (approximately USD98,860) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
