About the Role

VCA Theatre has a long established reputation as a leader in the training of actors, directors, writers, theatre makers, voice practitioners and dramaturges for the Asia Pacific region. VCA Theatre is seeking an experienced practitioner and academic to join the team. This position will entail participation in the Undergraduate and Graduate programs and contribute to the institution’s research culture through Honours and Graduate supervision, mentoring, and through the appointee’s own research initiatives and professional practice.

About you 

You will hold a PhD degree within the field of contemporary performance practice and its theoretical context, together with relevant professional experience. You must have significant teaching experience in a tertiary Theatre School context. You must demonstrate interest in the development of undergraduate and graduate coursework curriculum.

Based in the beautiful Southbank Campus of The University of Melbourne, you will work nestled amongst Melbourne’s major arts and cultural organisations and venues. You will have the convenience of great transport links to the rest of the city with the serenity of the Botanical Gardens close by.
