Research Associate - Comprehensive Cancer Centre
We seek an intelligent and self-motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate.
The purpose of this position, funded by Leuka (www.leuka.org.uk), is to perform high quality laboratory experiments to study the mechanisms of antigen-dependent B cell receptor signalling in the pathogenesis of B cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) using primary patient cells and mouse models. The available project is at the intersection of immunology and cancer and affinity with at least one of these fields is essential. The project involves large-scale high-resolution imaging, mouse immunisations and flow cytometry. Experience with these techniques would be highly advantageous.
The Successful applicant will work under direct supervision of Dr Hoogeboom but is expected to work independently in the lab. The post holder will be encouraged to provide intellectual input into the experimental design and direction of the project. He/She is expected to analyse and report data and present findings at local and (inter-)national meetings.
