INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES EDUCATION

Centre for Medical Education

This is a career development post FY2/ST level to help teach the next generation of doctors. You will be working in the Centre for Medical Education, in the Institute of Health Sciences Education which is a part of the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

As an E-Learning Fellow you will help develop E-Learning materials in both pre-clinical and clinical subjects. You will have an opportunity to contribute to a wide range of teaching sessions across the course. You will receive training in teaching and as part of the post you will work towards a nationally recognised certificate in teaching and learning.

For this post alongside developing e-learning materials and some teaching, you will also be given the opportunity to develop your own clinical skills with supervised clinical work and training within Barts Health NHS Trust and you will receive support when applying for clinical posts in a year’s time. This post provides a productive and interesting year and be well prepared to dive back into the hurly burly of clinical medicine.

You will have a MBBS or equivalent qualification and current GMC registration.

This post is a full time, fixed term until 05 Aug 2020. Starting salary will be in the range of £33,615 – £39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance (depending on experience). Benefits package includes 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan

The post-holder will report to Academic Lead for E-learning and will be based at Whitechapel.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
