Job description

We are currently looking for part time Cleaning Assistants, which will all be based, in our Sighthill campus which is in the Sighthill area of Edinburgh. These opportunities are fixed term contracts for 6 months.

As part of the Property & Facilities cleaning team you will provide a flexible customer focused service across our campuses. You will ensure a clean and safe working environment for all students, staff and visitors to Edinburgh Napier University.

The role

Daily duties will involve cleaning offices, all kitchen areas, labs, meeting rooms, stairways, toilets, showers etc. Throughout this position, you will adhere to relevant statutory regulations especially in relation to waste management. There may be times you are required to work at other Campuses and alternative hours as per the requirements during peak times.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for committed and reliable individuals to join our team. Ideally you will have previous experience in cleaning in a commercial setting.

• Strong knowledge of statutory regulations in a cleaning environment 
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations 
• Previous work experience in a cleaning environment 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrable customer service skills
