Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
The International Officer assists the Head of Internationalisation in delivering the University’s ambitious internationalisation plans. The post holder will represent the University internationally to manage the development and implementation of recruitment strategy and marketing activity in a wide range of countries with specific market responsibilities. The post holder will provide effective support for the University’s agent and international schools network and identify development opportunities for the University.
Duties will include attendance at overseas recruitment events in priority markets, international agency liaison, planning and delivering both digital and print marketing communications for international markets plus website enhancement and maintenance in cooperation with Marketing Colleagues. The roles also include supporting the processing of international student applications in addition to providing a high level of international student support after enrolment; as well as promoting and supporting the administration of a range of international student and staff mobility opportunities.
The successful candidate will need to be educated to a minimum of degree level, and demonstrate a good understanding of the international application process including UKVI visa compliance procedures. They will have a strong awareness of the current issues relating to Higher Education in the UK and a good understanding of opportunities for UK HEI overseas.
