The Princeton Environmental Institute invites applications at the assistant professor level from scholars specializing in the Environmental Humanities. Princeton University is committed to undergraduate as well as graduate teaching and advising, and the successful candidate will teach at all levels and supervise doctoral research. This is a joint position between the Princeton Environmental Institute and a partnering humanities department. 

The successful candidate should have a strong interest in helping forge links across disciplines, building on the Princeton's strong commitment to interdisciplinary and international approaches to the environmental humanities. The expertise of the successful candidate is open with respect to discipline. Anticipated start date is September 1, 2020.

All research approaches are welcome, including those related to animal and plant studies, the built environment, climate change, the digital environmental humanities, ecocriticism, ecofeminism, the energy humanities,  environmental history, environmental justice, environmental law, indigenous and postcolonial environmentalisms, public health, queer ecologies, race studies, religious studies, socioenvironmental futures, and urban and regional planning.
