We have an exciting opportunity to join our Print Services team based in our Sighthill campus on a full time, permanent basis.
The Property & Facilities Team delivers a first class service to over 1,500 staff and nearly 19,000 students. The department's focus is on managing the University's key facilities, including estates and buildings, energy and sustainability, security, cleaning, logistics, print service, sports centre, catering services, conference management and student accommodation. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team who are at the heart of the university.
The role
Giving advice to customers on a wide range of digital print devices, using associated software to draft and process print works; providing customers with a range of cost options. Requirement to operate a range of finishing equipment including and not limited to binding machine. Provision of a digital print service within a shop environment with direct customer contact, cash handling, card payments and end of day/week banking to be undertaken.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with recent experience within the digital print industry who has a strong, customer service focussed outlook. The ideal candidate will have an approachable demeanour with a solid understanding of a range of software such as PRISMA, Adobe Suite.
Successful applicants will have demonstrable experience of working in a customer service environment providing a quality and professional print services to arrange of clients, with a flexible approach to respond to situations in a positive way.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Excellent oral, listening and written communication skills to enable effective communication
- Evidence a customer focused approach to all interactions with Students , Staff and Visitors
- Proficient use of digital print software
- Ability to use initiative in lone working situations
Desirable attributes:
- Experience of working in a Further or Higher Education setting
- Litho Print knowledge
- Adobe suite software including illustrator
