Housing Services let, manage and collect rent for over 2,600 beds in Queen Mary’s own Halls of Residence. They also allocate and coordinate the letting of a further 350 beds with our partner providers. This area of the business is set to expand to support the Queen Mary 2030 Strategy.
The post holder will provide effective line management of the Housing Services and Residences Finance team, prioritising workloads to meet agreed Queen Mary strategic targets.
The post holder will be dedicated to promote and maximise the lettings potential and therefore mitigate the financial risk in relation to all owned, nominated and leased bed stock, worth circa £20M per annum.
The role will also be responsible for the key IT systems that support the Housing Services (and broader teams).
The post holder will be required to support and deputise for the Head of Housing Services in managing and delivering a customer focused service providing advice and guidance encompassing the broad range of housing options available to students and staff.
The post is full time and permanent. Starting salary will be £37,411 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
