Overview:

Applications are invited for 2 fixed-term (12 month) Lectureships in International Relations / Development. We seek to appoint experienced lecturers to teach modules across core areas of International Relations and Development, plus provide supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, and academic advising of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The successful candidates will have a PhD in Politics / International Relations or a related discipline and the ability to deliver teaching and assessment to undergraduate and postgraduate students. An understanding of student support needs and the ability to communicate new and complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing, are also essential.  

The posts are full time, for twelve months, starting at the latest from 23 September 2019. Starting salary will be in the range £41,682 - £44,015 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Due to the recruitment timelines and start date for this post, Queen Mary is unable to offer visa sponsorship under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
