Educational Technology Officer
The Educational Technology Officer will report to the Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and work closely with the eLearning Development Officer and other CTL staff across a variety of areas.
The Educational Technology Officer will play a key role in supporting and promoting the use of the Virtual Learning Environment and learning technologies across the University, in partnership with relevant stakeholders. The post-holder will also contribute to staff professional development initiatives, including CTL courses, workshops and projects.
Applicants will hold a primary degree in Education, Multimedia or related discipline with experience in teaching and learning in higher education or in a related eLearning field. The post-holder will have experience of a range of learning technologies, developing online learning resources, and in supporting staff in the design of blended and online courses. They will also have experience in delivering professional development workshops in eLearning to staff.
Administrative Officer Grade II Salary Scale: €37,323 – €53,707 p.a. (9 points)
Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
