Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the AIDS Institute of the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 498395), to commence as soon as possible for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree preferably in Medicine, Microbiology, Biology or a related discipline.  They should be highly competent in immunology and molecular biology techniques.  Preference will be given to those with work experience in transcriptome, animal models and molecular experiments.  The appointee is expected to work independently and to play an important role in the team on molecular mechanisms of protective immune responses during HIV infection or cancer immunotherapy.  He/She will need to design and perform experiments, which involve animal immunization, immune assays, flow cytometry, cell imaging, deep sequencing and data analysis, etc.  Enquiries about the post can be directed to the AIDS Institute at aidsinst@hku.hk.
