SENIOR DATA INTEGRITY ASSISTANT, Alumni Association, to be responsible for data entry and data integrity. Will enter, update, and maintain information on all record types on the ADVANCE database (alumni, parents, students, widows/ers, friends, etc.) for the advancement areas of MIT; add new records, complete biographic updates, process gifts and pledges to MIT, conduct basic research, respond to constituent phone calls and requests, and ensure data integrity by reporting and reconciling data issues; serve as front-line contact and provide high quality customer service to all constituents serviced by the Office of Records, which requires a consistently adaptable and complex approach; review information that is entered into the database for accuracy and integrity purposes and to ensure consistency with documented business practices; and work closely with the director to research and resolve data processing discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma; at least five years’ related experience; experience working in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment; meticulous attention to detail; strong organizational, keyboarding (55+ wpm), data entry, interpersonal, multitasking, and oral and written communication skills; and database experience and proficiency in a Windows environment. Must be able to work autonomously under the pressure of time constraints, deadlines, and frequent interruptions in a frequently changing and team-based environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in a university or nonprofit setting desired. Familiarity with ADVANCE from Ellucian a plus. Job #17868-5
