Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pathology and the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (Ref.: 498366), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, genetics, computational biology or other relevant disciplines, and in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: R, Perl, Python, C/C++, and JAVA.  Experience in cancer research and/or molecular biology will be an advantage.  Preference will be given to those with expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology, and with strong interests in translational research utilizing next-generation sequencing and single-cell sequencing to study liver cancer.  Applicants should also be highly motivated, and able to work in a team environment. They should have good oral and written communication skills in English, and the ability to work independently. They must be competent to participate in highly collaborative projects, and to contribute intellectually to research development.  The appointee will investigate molecular mechanism of liver cancer using next generation sequencing.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor Irene Ng at or Dr. Daniel Ho at
