The Department of Informatics is seeking applications from candidates for the position of Lecturer in Cybersecurity Education on its exciting new Academic Education Pathway (AEP), starting in November 2019, or as soon as possible thereafter.
This role will focus primarily on online teaching and enhancing online educational quality and innovation in the department of Informatics. The candidate, as part of a team, will focus on the delivery of a new exciting online Master’s programme in Advanced Cybersecurity (planned to be launched in 2020). She or he may also be involved in teaching activities in Department of Informatics.
The Academic Education Pathway is focused on the delivery of education, education-related scholarship, and leadership in education. It creates a clear pathway for recognition, reward and opportunities for advancement for exceptional educators.
Applicants must have a PhD in computer science, computer security or a related field. The successful applicant will be part of the Department of Informatics and will be expected to contribute to its wider activities and development. Engagement in research related to computer science education where applicable in improving research-led teaching on taught programmes is encouraged.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation. The candidates will have the opportunity to meet members of the department on the presentation day. Presentations are scheduled to be held on 21/10/2019 and interviews on 22/10/2019.
