Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Condensed Matter Physics in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 497132), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics. The appointee will work with Professor Wang Yao to conduct theoretical research in the areas of atomically thin two-dimensional materials, van der Waals heterostructures, spintronics and valleytronics.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
